Goals for 2018: Top ten championship position in the MXD class
My passion for racing has always been there from my earliest time on a bike at age four, riding a PW50. I have lived and breathed Motocross from the beginning. Although my Dad always loved racing, my parents made sure I was not pushed too hard at a young age and I was able to live life as a normal kid, not thrown into racing seriously and being on the road attending all the major races and the pressure the comes with that before I was ready. This has allowed me to develop my race career slowly and not burn out like so many young riders do at my age. I finally have the opportunity to ride and train full time and it is something I am taking full advantage of heading in 2018.
2017 was a challenging year for me as I was fighting a preseason shoulder injury that happened in the USA, a few rounds into the MX Nationals I had a few more setbacks with small injuries that would allow me to race but not ride or train during the week. After a few months off the bike to recover my final two wild card rounds in MX2 went well showing good starts and speed, combining that with my first go at Supercross in 2017 I missed out on the main events by only a few spots which has given me a lot of confidence coming into 2018 in the MXD class.
Away from Motocross I enjoy mountain biking and training to help work towards my racing goals, listening to music and hanging out with my friends and family.
