Tasmanian Hugh McKay continues to develop nicely as an up and coming rider and made some serious steps forward in 2017 where he started challenging for race and round wins as the season progressed. The hard working 18year old is in his final year of the MXD category and would like nothing more than to finish his time in the class as a championship winner and move onto the MX2 class with plenty of momentum in 2019.
He has steadily climbed the ranks throughout his junior and amateur career and also had the opportunity to gain experience racing in supercross as well as overseas events.
With the team now purely focussed on the MXD class, McKay is no doubt a championship contender and having already worked with the WBR Yamaha team, he is in familiar surroundings and ready to give it his all.
