This weekend Gympie QLD, will be the host to Round 6 of the Pirelli MX Nationals this event will bring a staggering $400,000 in to the local region.
This is the first time the Pirelli MX Nationals will have the Gympie Motorcycle venue on the calendar, teams and riders alike are excited to take the track for the first time on the national calendar.
MX Nationals Series Promoter Kevin Williams, expressed his excitement to be heading to Gympie and explained that the venue is well equipped to welcome thousands of motocross fans and the track will be prepared to a world class standard.
“It is always an exciting feeling to be heading to a new venue on the calendar and the MX Farm crew have put in a huge effort to get the new venue ready for a national event of this size. The Pirelli MX Nationals is a very important event for the region. With Gympie hosting a national event of this size it will bring a staggering four Hundred thousand plus into the local region as well as put the venue on the radar, and provides the sport in the area with fantastic national exposure”. After a six week mid-season break, this weekend is sure to be filled with plenty of action. Riders who were challenged in the first half of the series will be working hard to seek redemption and keep them self’s in the fight for the championship.
