HISTORY

In 2011, Australian Motocross and Supercross legend, Troy Carroll stepped into the Team Manager role for the factory Kawasaki racing team. In his inaugural year, Troy recruited Billy MacKenzie, Dean Ferris and Phillip Nicoletti (MX2) who were on track to granting the team an overall podium result until injury set in. In 2012, Monster Energy continued as the naming rights sponsor and along came Jay Marmont who was a multiple champion at the time. Billy MacKenzie continued with the team and Kade Mosig (MX2) joined the factory Kawasaki racing team as well. The combination of experienced Marmont and a formidable KX450F resulted in the Australian supercross championship being taken that year. In 2013, Adam Monea joined the team with Jay Marmont continuing while the structure of the team changed to an MX1 only effort and injury again robbed the team of a championship. Over the years, the factory Kawasaki team have run both MX1 and MX2 efforts however fast forward to 2017 and the perfect structure has been established with the MEGA Bulk Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team who are back in the running with a lighter, faster, slimmer and more powerful KX450F in the MX1 class only. Nathan Crawford will take the step up into the MX1 class following a 3rd place finish in the MX2 category the year prior. The 19 year old Queenslander will be joined by a highly acclaimed MX1 teammate who will be announced in the near future. MEGA Bulk Fuels have joined the team as a naming right sponsor in addition to Monster Energy and Ben Dutton will accompany Paul Teasdale as the team technicians.
